Rebecca (Becky) manages the day-to-day operations of Green Ink, ensuring client needs are met and projects are delivered to an exceptionally high standard. Becky oversees both our project management and quoting/tendering processes and is responsible for delivering projects and ensuring clients are delighted with the results. She also provides advice to our clients based on her deep experience of communications, acquired over more than 20 years spent working in all aspects of publishing.

With more than 30 years’ experience in Finance and Information Administration across several sectors, Sharon is responsible for the financial stewardship of Green Ink. Sharon has a level five qualification in Leadership and Management from The Chartered Management Institute (CMI). She also holds qualifications in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).

Core team

Guy is an excellent copy-editor with a particularly sharp eye for proofreading. He has been responsible for some of our most high-profile projects, including multiple reports for United Nations agencies. His area of expertise is natural sciences, especially agricultural research and development, and forestry, and he holds a degree in Zoology. Guy worked as a freelance writer and editor prior to joining Green Ink. He has lived in various African countries for many years and has travelled extensively on assignment for us. He is an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

With more than a decade of experience in the UK and Hong Kong as a writer and editor specialising in science and nature, Jess is passionate about communicating science to make it accessible to any audience. Jess has a BSc in Zoology from the University of Southampton, an MSc in Advanced Methods in Taxonomy and Biodiversity from Imperial College, London, and a Graduate Certificate in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. She enjoys distilling complex information into concise, engaging and readable text and is able to respond to the varied needs and priorities of diverse clients. Jess specialises in content involving biological, health and nature, and environmental issues. She is enthusiastic about working with clients from different global regions and backgrounds.

Jane joined Green Ink in 2012 and is a highly qualified writer and editor with more than 25 years’ experience in covering public health issues at the international level. She has a BSc in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) in the area of maternal and child health, with a speciality in international health, from the University of California at Berkeley. Jane has focused on the issues around women’s health as well as maternal and adolescent health, and sexual and reproductive health, including everything from family planning and STIs, HIV and cervical cancer, to FGM, gender-based violence and related human rights issues. Clients rely on her subject knowledge to flag up any issues when reviewing text, and on her ‘eagle eyes’ during editing and proofreading. Having studied statistics and epidemiology, Jane is also happy writing and editing data charts and tables. Jane is a dual US–UK national who has also lived in Cyprus, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Tanzania and Thailand, and so is very comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Most of her work with Green Ink has involved editing reports and guidelines for the World Health Organization and other clients in the public health arena. Jane has a particular skill in extensive substantive editing and re-writing of highly technical documents. Jane has also written many reports, including grant proposals, survey and study reports, project reports, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and health technology assessment reports, all involving substantial literature review and analysis/interpretation.

Sue has a BSc in Environmental Science and has been with Green Ink since 2000. Sue is a gifted writer and editor and a diligent proofreader. She has particular subject experience in writing about topics related to sustainability. Maria is a passionate yet down-to-earth sustainability and communications professional with ten years of international experience. She has an MSc in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (with distinction; her thesis was on climate change adaptation in Pacific Island Developing States) and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on international relations and environmental policy. In addition to her background in environmental sciences and policy, she has professional experience in clean energy financing and sustainable development, gained while working for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership. She also enjoys working on anything related to conservation. She is fully bilingual in English and Dutch and has a working knowledge of French, German, Italian and Spanish. She has recently conducted a technical/substantive edit on the African Development Bank’s Climate Change and Green Growth annual report.

Paul, with nearly two decades at Green Ink, has worn many hats, ranging from digital design to IT systems development. A mastermind behind numerous impactful projects and this website, his expertise extends to graphic design, website coding, and database development. Now, as Head of AI and Digital Operations, Paul is spearheading the integration of AI into our workflow and championing digital publishing solutions. Prior to joining Green Ink, Paul managed print and digital media for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Nigeria. Paul holds a BA in Photography, film, video and animation, and he is an excellent photographer.

Christel is an experienced graphic designer, working mostly on hard-copy format products. She is a fluent German and English speaker and has a particular expertise in managing multi-lingual design and layout. Christel is also a co-founder of the business and has worked with Green Ink since its inception in 1998.

Maryck, a native French speaker, has been a full-time freelance translator for more than 30 years, having both academic and professional qualifications for translation and proofing from English into French, including a Dip.Trans, MITI. In 1992, she became a fully qualified member of the UK’s Institute of Translators and Interpreters and since then she has steadily built up a solid and prestigious client base Europe-wide, mainly through recommendation. Born in Spain and educated in British schools, Natalia is a native speaker of both Spanish and English.
