About Green Ink
A UK-based, specialist communications agency delivering editorial, design, translation and publication production services to the international development sector since 1998.
Green Ink is a specialist communications agency serving the international development community. For nearly three decades, we have delivered everything from complex technical and scientific reports to engaging outputs targeting general audiences across the public health, humanitarian, climate, natural resources management, agriculture, international development and sustainability sectors.
We work with organisations that shape global policy and practice – UN agencies, multilateral development banks, foundations, government bodies, non-government organisations and private-sector publishers. Thousands of projects for hundreds of clients, each one requiring precision, subject-matter understanding and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Our model is deliberately lean. A compact senior team manages every project directly, supported by a curated network of associate writers, editors, designers, translators and data visualisation specialists. This gives our clients the consistency and quality control of a dedicated team, with the specialist expertise and capacity of a much larger agency.
We do not simply process text. Our editors understand clinical evidence, climate science, agricultural economics and development policy. That subject-matter knowledge is what separates otherwise competent editorial work from work that genuinely improves the publication.
Why Green Ink?
Subject-matter expertise, not just editorial skill
Our editors understand clinical evidence, climate science, agricultural economics, child welfare data… Fewer revision rounds, fewer errors, publications that communicate clearly.
Integrated service, single point of contact
Writing, editing, design, translation, layout, accessibility, under a single roof. One project manager coordinates everything. No coordination overhead or version control problems.
Institutional knowledge that compounds
Deep relationships with major organisations across hundreds of projects. We know house styles, editorial preferences, approval processes. This reduces briefing time and improves first-draft quality.
Multilingual capability built in
Translation, multilingual typesetting and native-language quality control integrated throughout. All the official UN languages plus more, including non-Latin scripts.
Capacity when you need it
Agency model scales to match requirements. Whether that be a single person for a couple of days for a light proofread or a full team over several months for a flagship multilingual report. No inflated overheads.
Our People
Every Green Ink project is managed by our core team – the people who hold client relationships, control quality and carry institutional knowledge. They are supported by a curated network of specialist writers, editors, designers, translators and data visualisation experts – we aim to select the most appropriate specialist to match each project's subject matter, language, format and deadline requirements.
