Creation of a conference report and a website capturing the event’s main outcomes, discussion points and actions in order to share learning among a wider audience.
Making All Voices Count is an international programme that works in Bangladesh, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. It aims to make government more effective and accountable by promoting transparency, fighting corruption, empowering citizens, and harnessing the power of new technologies. Making All Voices Count is a partnership between three organizations: Hivos, Ushahidi and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
In February 2016, Making All Voices Count organized a conference, called ‘Transforming Governance: What Role for Technologies?’, that took place over four days in Manila, the Philippines. The conference brought together 55 researchers and practitioners from 15 countries who work on the issue of using new technologies to improve government accountability.
Making All Voices Count asked Green Ink to make a record of the presentations and discussions, and then to bring all of the workshop outputs together into a written report and also to create a website for the event.
We sent an expert on development to the conference to make notes and record information. We wrote, edited, designed and laid out the final report including creation of infographics. We designed and built a website for the event and created and uploaded all the content.
Our client was delighted. The Manila workshop was a success and the feedback on our contribution was excellent. “Wow, this is a great, beautiful report. Thanks for all of your hard work on it. Such detail, and fantastic takeaways from the gathering. Kudos!” commented Chris Michael, lead facilitator of the Making All Voices Count workshop in Manila. While conference participant Siti Fatimah described our report as “terrific”.
